I'm all signed up and watched the video. This is very similar to the Holt textbook online videos you can get. If you don't show them in the classroom, you can sometimes get great teaching tips from watching them yourself. Thoughts on this video:
- This is a very exciting way to learn, especially with classes requiring research. Don't forget to consider the time needed to CREATE the visuals for the camera, the script, the practice and re-take time and the available technology load required.
- The student is very well spoken and articulate. My ESL students would have difficulty with this unless they could do it in Spanish. One possible long-term project idea would be for them to create it in Spanish and then in English.
- The student has a very deep understanding of connectivism.
- A class that is 3 days in class and 2 days online would require that all students have a computer and internet connection at home. Low socioeconomics put a wrench in this unless all students are in a technology class at school.
- I get very excited when I see things like this but then a bit deflated when I think about standardized tests and the amount of curriculum crammed into a year ending in TAKS.

I tried to sign the guestbook but it never appeared. I so agreed with your comments about the summers opening posts. My feelings about this summer have gone up and down. I just decided to have fun with it, even if at times I not worrying about the educational applications. Hope you enjoy the comment.
I tried the guestbook and it opened for me - you click on the little yellow tab that says, "sign this guest book". I'd love for you to sign and leave a picture because it's empty so far! Thanks for your comment.
